Yes, we accept nominations from outside the Bay Area and the U.S. Most of our winners in 2000 came from the Bay Area, while our winners in 2001 were from all over the U.S. and the world. Many realize that Silicon Valley can be akin to Hollywood in the insularity of its industries. To address that concern, we will be broadcasting our request for nominations in an international press release in 2002.   Back to Top   How are the judges selected? The SFWoW Directors and Top25 organizers contact Top25 honorees from the prior year in order to create a respected panel of judges. Generally, five women serve on the judging panel, with one woman chairing the group. Ideally, the judging panel will include women with a broad range of expertise, including design, engineering and management.   Back to Top   When will nominations open? Nominations are open to everyone, both male and female. Judging, however, is limited to the panel of judges and since the judges are prior honorees, you can expect them to be women! Everyone is invited to attend the Top25 awards ceremony.   Back to Top   What is SFWoW's involvement in Top25? SF WoW is the non-profit organization that spearheads the Top25 event. SF WoW manages the Top25 process from beginning to end and it is the organization's volunteers who put in countless hours to make it happen. SF WoW gets its funding from revenues earned via technology workshops and monthly events as well as corporate sponsorships.
